Dorothy Lynn Roman Kurlander of Loveland, passed to her heavenly home May 16, 2025. Born to Edward and Lillian Roman January 22nd, 1933, in Jersey City, N.J. She married Martin Kurlander in 1954, Palisades Park, N.J. They made many moves around the country raising their family. Dorothy was a loving mother of her son and daughter, and then legal secretary, gardener, homemaker, enthusiastic volunteer, and crafter. She enjoyed many years running Martin's Sentry Hardware in Stuart, FL. before they returned to Colorado and settled in Berthoud in 1986. Dorothy enjoyed employment with Hospice of Larimer County, local attorneys, and most of all volunteering for Habitat For Humanity, the library, plus The First Presbyterian Church of Berthoud which was her Christian home where she inspired people with her positive outlook and unwavering faith. Living her life with grace, dignity, compassion, and generosity. Her ever-present smile has left us with happy memories as we cherish her many kind acts. Survived by son Scott (Mona), daughter Leslie (Greg) Wells, her two much-loved grandsons Ian Wells (Hayley and family) and Levi Kurlander; niece Kim (Ray) Celedinas; great nieces Taylor (Brian and family) Dunlop, Payton (Riley) Strumillo, cousin Larry LeRoy (Peggy and family), step-brother Jerry Meade, wife Lyn, plus all the people pleased to call her "friend." Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved father Edward H. Roman in her childhood age, her husband, Martin, stepfather, Paul Meade, her amazing mother, Lillian Roman Meade, sister-in-law, Anellen Roman, stepsister Marilyn Purdy, and brother Edward Roman. Memorial service will by held at the First Presbyterian Church of Berthoud, 531 8th Street, on Friday June 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Berthoud, PO Box 1290, Berthoud CO 80513
