Dorothy Ann Mincey Lanier (Dot), 88 of Register, Georgia passed away peacefully on 7/30/2024 at Ogeechee Area Hospice after an extended illness. Born in Brooklet, Georgia on September 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Queen Victoria Lane Mincey and Truman Mincey. Dot entered into her heavenly home while surrounded by her loving children and caregivers. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Nobles, a brother Clifford Powell, sisters Bobby Jean Faircloth, Ocilla Tolk, and Pauline Cagle, and her beloved grandson Chad Robinson. Survivors include her children Sharon L Brannen (Lehman), Gary F Lanier (Sandra), Vicki L Vermeer (Fred), and Kimberly L Kilgore (Scott), her brother Eugene Mincey (Kathleen), several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her adored poodle Laci. Dot was a member of Register Baptist Church. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dot's caregivers, Patricia Rushing, Lynn Carver, Hilda Bennett & Lydia Daniels, and the staff at Ogeechee Area Hospice for their excellent care and compassion. A visitation will be held in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home on Friday, August 2nd at 1:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Tom Alderman officiating. A private inurnment will be at Lake Cemetery in Metter, Georgia. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, PO Box 531, Statesboro GA. 30459
