Dorothy Luckenbach

Dorothy Luckenbach age 95 of Tuleta, Texas passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024. Dorothy was born on April 14, 1928 in Skidmore, Texas to Frank and Lela (Hickman) Berthold. She was the eldest of their two children and preceded in death by her parents, Frank Oscar and Lela Mae Hickman Berthold, a brother, Jesse Berthold and a son, Albert A. Luckenbach, III.
Dorothy married A. A. Luckenbach, Jr., and the two enjoyed traveling the U.S. with his work. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was of the Christian faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuleta, a Sunday School teacher, a kindergarten teacher at one time and a long-time homemaker.
She is survived by daughters, Carla Luckenbach Bailey and Melinda Luckenbach Cobb; son-in-law Gary Cobb; grandchildren, Lanette Bailey, Brian Cobb, Amanda Luckenbach; great-grandchildren, Madison Malaer, Ashlee Malaer, Jaxson Malaer, and Colton Malaer; Weston Cobb and Aaron and Piper Luckenbach
Family Visitation will be Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 9AM to 10:30 AM in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel with Services starting at 10:30 AM with Pastor Glenn Killam officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, TX.
Serving as Pallbearers are Gary Cobb, Brian Cobb, Jaxson Malaer, Hugo Carrillo, Jayce Constante, Michael James, Chris Gonzales and Cody Morales.
