Dorothy's life was centered around her family, and she took immense pride in being a homemaker, where she adeptly managed household responsibilities while providing a nurturing environment for her loved ones. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of home-cooked meals, and her door was always open to friends and neighbors.
Preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Anna Gripp, Dorothy's legacy lives on through her loving son, Bruce Mancia, who resides in Troy, MI. Bruce remembers his mother as a guiding light in his life, whose encouragement and love shaped him into the person he is today.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the community for their overwhelming support and affection during this difficult time. Arrangements for Dorothy are provided by Wasik Funeral Home in Shelby Township, ensuring that she is honored in a manner befitting her well-loved and impactful life.
Dorothy's memory will be cherished by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, commitment to family, and a life well-lived. Although she has left this world, the love she shared and the values she imparted will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Dorothy's life, in accordance with her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of choice, reflecting Dorothy's spirit of giving and compassion.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those who have gone before her.

My sincerest condolences Bruce. Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Doc were one of my favorites. It is sad how our family lost all connection after my mom passed. She was the glue. I just turned 80 hard to believe how quickly it all passes. All gone, we had an amazing family. Just the cousins now. Gods peace Patsy
