Dorothy G. "Dodie" Mitchell, 76, of Conneaut, OH, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at UH Conneaut Medical Center. She was born Aug. 22, 1948, in Wellington, OH, the daughter of Chester and Helen (Balcomb) Lowery. Dodie worked as a school bus driver for Ledgemont and Ashtabula Area School and worked for AVI Vending Company. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, going to garage sales, flowers, and loved horses, especially riding and showing them. Survivors include her husband, Rand R. Mitchell; her daughters, Shelly Naylor of Conneaut and Tracy (Kevin) Bevins of Jefferson; son, Joseph (Tisa) Naylor of Jefferson; stepdaughter, Nicole Ries of Vandergrift, PA; stepson, Joshua (DJ) Mitchell of Vandergrift, PA; sisters, Jackie McBride of Ashtabula, Ruthie (Frank) Connell of Evans City, PA, and Darlene (Ronald) Hicks of Conneaut; brothers, Robert (Charlotte) Lowery of Crossingville, PA, and Dale (Linda) Langdon of Pierpont; 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carol Bowers, Audrey Frost, Betty Phillips, Barb Fugate, and Elaine Barnum; and brother, John Lowery.
