Mrs. Morris was born on September 28, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Russell and Edna Hawkins Dofflemyer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Morris, Sr. on December 22, 2006; a brother, James "J.R." Russell Dofflemyer and sisters Cloredell Watts and Frances Shifflett.
She is survived by a son, Paul "Randy" Morris, Jr. and wife, Crystal of Morganton, GA; two daughters, Janie White of Grottoes and Sandra Byers and husband, Carl "Rusty" of Mt. Crawford, VA; eight grandchildren, Mark Byers and wife, Julie, Christy Null and husband, Jay Waggy, Terry Morris and wife, Courtney, Tonya Acker and husband, Paul, Tanya Bennett and husband, Tony, Hallie Morris, Billy White and fiancée, Amy, Steven White and wife, Sarah; eighteen great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at St. Andrew's United Church of Christ in Weyers Cave with the Reverend Doyle Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
Memorial contributions can be made to Saint Andrew's UCC, 1083 Dices Spring Road, Weyers Cave, VA 24486.
