Dorothy S. Myers ,92, of Columbus, GA passed away on December 28, 2025 at Legacy Reserve.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 2, 2026 at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends for visitation starting at 9:00 AM and ending at 10:00 AM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Rev. Ed Rollins will be officiating the services.
Mrs. Myers was born June 12, 1933 in Sharon, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Lillian McGinty Sorrels and Joseph A. Sorrels. She retired from the Prudential Insurance Company at age 55 with 30 years of service. Mrs. Myers was a member of Crystal Valley Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved to work Crossword Puzzles, read, cats and gardening.
Survivors are her son: Joseph Michael “Mike” (Jan) of Ovilla, TX. And her sister: Caroline Collins of Brandon, MS., seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Austin Myers, son: Jeffrey L. Myers and daughter: Romana Gail Healy and sister: Carolyn Collins.
