Dorothy Ott

Dorothy V. (Orzechowski) Ott, age 90, of Erie, passed away at Sarah Reed Senior Living on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Born in Erie on November 23, 1934, she was a daughter of the late John and Aneila (Michalski) Orzechowski.
Dorothy was a graduate of East High School. She worked in the Commercial Auto Claims Department at Erie Insurance Company. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and mystery novels. When she was younger, she was an avid bowler.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Ott; and siblings, Sophie, Helen, Mary, Stella, Catherine, Teddy, Theresa, Liz, and Rose.
She is survived by three children, Bruce D. Ott, Kevin B. Ott, and Stephanie E. Ott-Zurcher, husband Allen; "adopted daughter" Jan Brown, husband Mike; and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Her viewing will be at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 E. 38th Street, on Saturday, November 15th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and will include a brief prayer service. Her burial will then follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
