Dorothy Paterson

On October 15th, Dorothy Paterson graduated from the bonds of this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her loving husband, Don Paterson of 66 years. Their children Wayne, his wife Dede, Donna, her husband Mike, grandchildren: Kim, Kirstie, Katie, Josiah, Matthew, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy will be remembered for her gentle heart and unwavering kindness. She truly never met a stranger. Everyone who crossed her path was greeted with warmth, sincerity, and a smile that made them feel like an old friend. Her colorful life of faith, service, friends, gardening and art set a beautiful example for all of us. Even during her final days, people continued to gravitate toward her loving spirit.

One of her greatest joys was her family, especially being "Mamaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, a proud mother, and devoted grandmother whose happiest moments were spent surrounded by those she loved. The memories shared and the unconditional love she poured into each of them will remain treasured gifts they carry in their hearts forever.

Though we will miss her, we are grateful for the gift of her life and the example she set. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
