**Obituary for Dorothy Ann Pemberton**

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Ann Pemberton, a beloved resident of Stone Mountain, Georgia. Dorothy left this world at the age of 99 on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Dorothy was born on a warm summer day, Saturday, July 17th, 1926, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a cherished member of her community and spent her lifetime devoted to fostering love, kindness, and friendship to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, David M. Pemberton Jr., with whom she shared many beautiful years of marriage. Dorothy's strength and resilience were ever-present as she navigated life's journeys with grace and poise.

Her career as a Clerical Worker with the State of Georgia was marked by dedication and excellence. Her diligent work and unwavering commitment left a lasting impact on those she worked alongside and the community she served.

The family invites friends and loved ones to a Visitation in remembrance of Dorothy, to be held at Gregory B. Levett and Son Funeral Home - Flat Shoals Location in Decatur, Georgia, on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Friday, December 5th, 2025, at 11:00 am, at New Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia, where Dorothy was a devout member for many years. Attendees will gather to honor and celebrate the remarkable life she lived and the everlasting impact she had on those around her.

Following the Celebration of Life, Dorothy will be laid to rest at Kennedy Memorial Cemetery in Ellenwood, Georgia, at 1:00 pm, where she will find eternal peace beside her beloved husband.

Arrangements have been lovingly provided by Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory - South Dekalb. Dorothy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
