Dorothy Ann Penick was born June 3, 1940, in Green County, Kentucky to the late Richard Lewis Penick and Marie Wilson Antle Penick. She departed this life Saturday, August 16, 2025, at her home in Green County, having attained the age of eighty-five years, two months and thirteen days.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of The Least, The Last, The Lost Ministry and Higher Ground Community Church. She loved cooking and taking care of people. She had a special love for birds and was known to catch hummingbirds on occasion. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers: Randall and Marvin Penick.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons: Charles Keith Dobson and his wife Pam of Summersville, Kim Hutcherson and Terri Denham, both of Greensburg and William Meredith and his wife Amanda of Shepherdsville, six grandchildren: Nicki Mitchell, Tasha Buckner, Alex Hutcherson, Ceanna Denham, Bryan Mixon and Addison Meredith and six great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Dorothy Ann Penick will be conducted at 7 p.m. Central Time Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Casey Durrett, Bro. Roger Scott and Bro. Jimmy Engle. There will be a graveside service 1 pm CT Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Green County Memory Gardens in the Summersville Community of Green County.
The visitation will be from 12 noon CT until the funeral hour at 7 pm CT Tuesday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
