Dorothy Elizabeth "Goldie" Perkins, 79, passed away on March 3, 2026. The family will host a visitation on Friday, March 6, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas. Services for Dorothy will be held Saturday, March 7, at 10 AM in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.

Dorothy was born on August 1, 1946 in Marble Falls, Texas to Boswell H. Hamilton and Lula Lee Massingill. She attended school in Clifton, Texas. On March 16, 1968, she married Tommy Perkins and they began a life together that blessed them with 5 children.

Dorothy loved to be around family, especially during the holidays and at birthday parties. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing games on her phone, and going shopping with her daughters. She was well known for buying many snacks and sharing them with others. Goldie had one of the biggest hearts, especially when it came to her kids and grandkids. When she would win games of bingo, she would always give her prizes to her family. Goldie was known to be a collector of many things, like old coins, stuffed animals, and jewelry. She had a passion for cats, her last cat, Marshie, living to be over 16 years old.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Shannon Perkins of Bangs; son, Robert Perkins (Gina) of Brownwood; daughter, Jimmie Mae Gregory (Rocky) of Brownwood; daughter, Amy Perry (Jeff)of Guttenberg, Iowa; son, Carl Perkins of Colorado City; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tommy Perkins; great-granddaughter, Miah Gregory; and her parents, Boswell and Lula Hamilton.
