Dorothy Pauline Emilie Koenning Rauch

Dorothy Pauline Emilie Koenning Rauch, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025. Born in Three Oaks, Texas, on July 9, 1934, Dorothy was the cherished daughter of William "Bill" Koenning Jr. and Bertha Stobb Koenning.

Throughout her 91 years, Dorothy embraced life with joy and gratitude. She found happiness in every walk, every trip to the coast, and every moment spent with her family. Her love for Floresville was unmistakable-residents fondly recall seeing her on her daily walks around town, a testament to her vibrant spirit and commitment to living life to the fullest.

Dorothy now reunites in heaven with her parents, her loving husband Albert "Smokey" Rauch, siblings Mildred Braddy, Anita Ciomperlik, Janell Richards, Roger Dale Koenning, Margie Rutherford, and Dean Koenning, daughter Rae Beth Rauch, stepdaughter Alberta Landrum, stepson Edwin "Eddie" Rauch, and nephews Darrell, Danny, Steven "Hippie," and Daniel.

She is survived by her brother William "Bill" Koenning III, sisters Bertha Kotzur and Eleanor Walpole, step daughter Mary Tieken, seven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to honor her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vinyard Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Vinyard Funeral Home, with Interment to follow at the Floresville City Cemetery.
