Dorothy Reeves Obituary

Dorothy Marie Reeves 1931- Dorothy Marie Reeves

February 9, 1931 - March 18, 2025.

Dorothy (Dot) was born to John and Pauline Cantrell in Englewood Tennessee. She was active in many activities including cheerleading and basketball at Issac Litton High School where she met the love of her life, John Douglas Reeves Jr.. They were married July 7, 1950, in Madison TN and shortly after moved to Laramie Wyoming where Doug attended the University of Wyoming.

They moved to Cheyenne in 1954 and raised three children. Dot was active in the community and loved golfing with her family. She is famous for her Bingo Bango Bongo prowess.



In addition to traveling, Dot loved to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Doug, as well as her two sisters, Betty Holt, Bunny Whiteside, and brother Jimmy Cantrell.

She is survived by her sons John D. Reeves III (Kathleen), Timothy L. Reeves, and daughter Stacy R. Craft (Gary). Also, four grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life at Little America, March 27th from 2-4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Cheyenne Botanical Garden or The Old West Museum.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
