Mrs. Dorothy Ricks

Dorothy Ricks, 73, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away Thursday, March 8th, 2012 at her home. She was born January 19th, 1939 in Butler, Pennsylvania to Steve and Mary Furka Podobensky. Mrs. Ricks was the best mom ever! She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend to many. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, where she served in the Rosary Society and as an usher. Mrs. Ricks served in the United States Marine Corp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Michael Podobensky. Cherishing her memory are her husband of 29 years, Floyd Ricks; three children, Debbie Davis, Steve Sanders, and Jimmy Sanders (Katrina), all of Cabot; two brothers, Rich Podobinsky (Doris), and Robert Stephen Podobinsky (Donna); and one sister, Carol Sue Podobinsky, all of Butler, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Monday March 12th, 2012 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Andy Smith officiating under the direction of Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., Sunday, March 11th, 2012 at the church. The Rosary will follow at 4:00 P.M.
