Dorothy Schuman Obituary
Dorothy had a love for music. She excelled at many instruments including the accordion, saxophone, piano, and organ. After graduating high school in Columbus, Dorothy attended college in Billings for a short while to study music. She returned to the ranch in Columbus before finally settling on the ranch in Big Timber. There, she spent her days herding sheep, milking cows, baking bread, gardening, and attending church on Sundays. Dorothy lived a life grounded in her unwavering faith as an Evangelical Christian. She was deeply involved in her church community until her health no longer allowed.
She is survived by her brother, Philip (Christine) Schuman Jr., and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving father and mother, Philip and Emily, her brother, Donald Lee, and her aunt, Amelia.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Park City, MT. She will be buried alongside her loving parents, aunt and brother.
