LIMA -- Dorothy Skipworth, 84, passed away peacefully at 3:59 a.m. on November 4, 2025, at St. Rita's Mercy Health in Lima.
She was a beautiful person with a kind heart who always helped anyone she could. Dorothy retired in 2010, after many years of hard work She enjoyed spending her days with her iPad, reading the newspaper, and working on puzzles - small joys that reflected her curious and thoughtful spirit.
Dorothy leaves behind three loving daughters: Judy K. Messenger, Joyce M. Fields, and Michele (Zenesto) Martin, all of Lima; and a special daughter, Charlene Sanders, also of Lima. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great pride and happiness.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Matthew Mikesell II & Anita Manley-Smith, who she now joins in eternal rest. Dorothy was deeply loved and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle heart will forever live on in the memories of her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
