Mrs. Dorothy Ann Stuckey Crook, of Americus, Georgia passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Perfect Care Personal Care Home. She was born on March 28, 1941, in Oakland, Georgia.
Mrs. Crook dedicated over 40 years of service to the Sumter County Board of Education as a beloved school bus driver. She had a genuine love for people and was known for her kind spirit—never meeting a stranger. She was an active member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and found joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, listening to gospel music, and tending to her yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Stuckey and Margaret Jones Stuckey; her husband, L.E. Crook Jr.; her sister, Peggy Regacho; and her brothers, Wayne Stuckey and Larry Stuckey.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Crook Dominy (Greg) of Ellaville, Georgia; her stepdaughter, Vickie Noach (Mark) of Jasper, Georgia; her sons, Kevin Crook of Americus, Georgia, and Melvin Crook of Macon, Georgia; her stepson, Linnie Crook of Atlanta, Georgia; her brothers, Roy Stuckey (Clotilde) of Panama City, Florida, and Buddy Stuckey (Sally) of Americus, Georgia; her grandchildren, Laine Crawford (Cole), Tate Dominy, Chad Crook (Halle), and Hallie Baker (Taylor); and her great-grandchildren, Cannon Crook, Collier Crook, Kinsley Baker, and Kylie Baker.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Service, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Aldridge. Rev. James Beckett will officiate. The family will receive friends during the visitation hour prior to the service.
