Dorothy Holland Tatarian, 93, went home to be with her Lord on July, 12, 2024. She was born July 14, 1930 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Wiley M. and Flora Estelle Holland of Norfolk, Virginia. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and homemaker stay-at-home Mom. For over 35 years, she was an active part of a Christian ministry team of three, ministering weekly, at what is now, Kempsville Health & Rehab Center, on Indian River Rd. For many years she was a Sunday School Class Teacher, and she sang in the Church Choir. She also worked many years in the Jewelry department at Rices Nachmans, at Janaf, in Norfolk.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Michael Tatarian, and his wife JoAnne of Virginia Beach, and David Tatarian of Virginia Beach. Great-granddaughter, Stephanie Crow and her husband Daniel of Virginia Beach. Two great grandsons, Brian Jones of Norfolk, and Jason Jones of Virginia Beach; and two great-great grandsons, Christopher and Alex Crow of Virginia Beach. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis Ray Holland and Monroe Holland, both of Virginia Beach; and two late sisters, Joyce Burkett Dunning of Virginia Beach; and Loretta Burgett of Ohio.
Dorothy's funeral service will be held Friday, July, 19 at 11 AM, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel, 3445 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. The family will receive friends for her Viewing, starting at 10 AM, for 1 hour, just prior to Dorothy's 11 AM Funeral Service. Her Graveside Service will follow her Funeral Service, followed by a Reception at Hollomon-Brown Princess Anne Chapel.
