Dorothy M. Tate, 72, passed away July 7, 2025 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born September 12, 1952 in Akron, the daughter of the late Brooks and Dorothy Payne. She graduated from North High School and retired after many years service from Allied Info Tech. Dorothy will always be remembered as a very sweet person and was a devoted wife and mother. She was very active in her church. In her free time, she enjoyed her dogs and tending to her garden. In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Linda Payne. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ron Tate; daughters Rachel Neuwirth and Rebekah (Josh) McIntire; as well as her siblings Cheryl (Alan) Bourgeois, Gary Payne Sr., and Denni Payne. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, July 18, 2025 at Temple Baptist Church (1212 Greensburg Road). Pastor Glenn Rogers Jr. will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
