Phil:
Condolences on the loss of your mother.
I remember meeting her many years ago when you would have dinner with her at the Lincoln Del. She impressed me as a very classy, intelligent and extremely energetic woman who will be missed by many.

I first met Dorothy when she was working for Thorpe Bros. Real Estate. She was a dynamic real estate agent and quickly became a good friend. I was always amazed at what an extraordinary classy lady she was - even as she aged she always looked wonderful - she truly was a great friend to both of us throughout all these years - she always had a kind word and a caring thought - we will miss her!!

Dorothy Cole Trow had a multitude of areas of expertise, ranging from fine Real-estate Agent, to superb Manager in charitable organizations. She unselfishly gave years of her time and love to the Animal Humane Society in Minnesota. I first met Dorothy looking for my 2nd Home, which I did buy with her wonderful assistance. I was so impressed with her help, I soon thereafter purchased business property for my photo studio in Minneapolis, MN., again with her winning success at closing a contract. We became good friends.

Dorothy’s love for Animals led her into fund raising for her animal cause. She headed the Women’s Auxiliary at the Hennepin County Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley, Minnesota. She contacted my wife and me, and over lunch she told about her idea to have photo sessions of pets and their owners. We joined her project and “Pose Your Pet With Santa” was born. Through Dorothy’s perseverance, many commercial photographers and numerous Society members volunteered, following Dorothy’s plan. Pet owners loved this annual event. Needed revenue was gained for the Society over many years. Other animal groups copied the idea. Animal shelters, societies, and businesses selling animal services and products became aware of the “Animal Photo”. Dorothy’s animals became the Winners!

We were always impressed with Dorothy’s positive “can do” attitude.
My wife, Diane and I have lost a great friend. Our prayers are with her wonderful family. Love, Bill and Diane Gale.

I had the privilege of working with Dorothy many years ago in real estate. She was such a gracious and knowledgeable woman, and was a great mentor.

Dorothy was a wonderful friend and a most talented lady. The real estate community lost a fantastic, professional who was one of the best REALTORS in the Minneapolis area. She will be sorely missed by all. With my sincere condolences to her family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. In sympathy, from Helen Schmidt
