Dorothy "Dot" Winkler passed away January 15, 2023 at the age of 93 after a long battle with Parkinsons.
She was born in Bronx, New York to Dorothy and George Fahrbach. Here she met her late husband Walter Winkler. They were married for 66 years.
Dorothy is survived by her children William (wife Judith) and Linda Lewis (husband Floyd), 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Formerly from Pearl River, New York, Dot and Woody retired to Southampton to join the family's enclave in West Neck. She loved this community and became very active in the First Presbyterian Church, the Telephone Pioneers, the VFW, and the Power Squadron. Dot was an avid fundraiser and committee member of many of these organizations. She was a life-long gardener passing this love along to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Southampton Garden Club and the Rose Society. She organized many travel trips for the Pioneers. We will miss her vitality.
Service for Dot will be held at Brockett's Funeral. Home on January 21 with visitation form 11-1 and the service from 1-2. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
