Dorris Heflin, 82, passed away at his residence on Friday, January 30, 2026.
He was born on May 20, 1943, in Clarksville, Tennessee, to Eddie and Virginia (Evans) Heflin. Dorris later married the love of his life, Luise Pniwczuk, on November 28, 1970, in Middlebury. Together they built a life centered on family.
He is survived by his children, Stephanna (Greg) Faubion, Matthew (Shannan) Heflin, Aylana (Beau) Trosper, and Tommy Heflin; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and his four siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Luise; his daughter, Teresa Rogers; his brother, Robert; and his sister, Peggy.
Dorris proudly served his country in the United States Army. In his free time, he was an avid fisherman and hunter and especially loved tending to his garden. He found his greatest happiness outdoors and spending time with those he loved.
Family and friends may gather for visitation on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a memorial service given by Pastor Jon Rauch from Grace Community Church to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Goshen Home Care and Hospice in Dorris’s memory.
