Mrs. Dottie Jean Jarred Compton, age 69 of Dover, TN was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 10, 2025 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Born on December 2, 1955 the beloved daughter of the late George and Roxy Birdsong Barker. Dottie possessed a unique blend of spontaneity, generosity, and compassion. She was one of the toughest (and sassiest) people you could have ever met. She was stubborn and adorable all at the same time; the epitome of a "fiery redhead." She loved her family fiercely. She retired after many years working at Dover and North Stewart Water Treatment Plant. Dottie was a faithful servant. She loved helping people and doing random acts of kindness. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, William Edward Jarred; brother, Phillip Barker and sister, Linda Gonzalos.
She leaves behind her loving family, devoted husband she married on June 29, 2019, Jimmye "Bobo" Compton; son, BJ Jarred (Jenn) of London, OH; daughters, Jeanie Shannon (Joe) of Dover, TN, Tricia Peery (Todd) of Spokane, WA, Cassie "Scooter" Glasgow (Stephen) of Paducah, KY; brothers, George Levi Barker, Danny Wayne Barker (Debbie), Tony Barker; sister, Rose Marie Mathews; grandchildren, Levi Jarred, Gracie Jarred, William Scalf, Jared Scalf, Joshua Shannon, Noah Shannon, Callie Jo Shannon, Zoe Coburn and Mia Glasgow, several nieces and nephews, and her furry "son," Bowie.
