Doug Cook, son of the late Henry and Celestia (Gibson) cook was born at Whitesburg, Kentucky, September 18th, 1944. He entered eternal life, Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 at the whitesburg Applachain Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 80 years, 4 months and 5 days of age at the time of his passing.
Doug married Rose ( Keel) Cook, September 7th, 1962. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him. Doug enjoyed raising chickens and working and building things with wood and spending time with his grand children.
He survived by his loving wife, Rose Cook of Kingscreek, Kentucky. Four sons Doug ( Eugenia ) Cook of Cowan, Kentucky. Tony Cook and Dillion Cook both of Kingscreek, Kentucky and Boe ( Jamie) Collier of Isom, Kentucky. One daughter, Tammy ( Roy) Willimas of Millstone, Kentucky. One brother, Jesse Cook of McRoberts, Kentucky. A special grandson, Jonathan Cook.
Also survivng are 15 grandchildren: Andy, Diane, Kegan, Joe, Jarrod, Bethany, Kayla, Jordan, Ray, Trish,Brandon, Nicholas, Alex, Brooke and Emily. 22 great grandchildren and a host of other releatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Doug was preceded in death by two sons, David Cook and Wendell Cook. Two great grandchildren, Tristan and Camden. Four brothers: Gene Cook, Bud Cook, Ralph Cook, Roy Cook. Three sisters: Iva Thomas, Francies Laverne Smith and Faye Kincer.
