I am just hearing of Doug´s passing. I am so saddened. I have so many fond memories. Taking care of your St. Bernard Harvey & the wiffle ball games you & your partner Ron has with my brother & I in my backyard. You were a great neighbor & Doctor. Until we meet again Laddy!

I realize this is a late entry and I want Doug´s family to know what a difference he made in my and my family´s life. We were about the same age when We met Doug back in 1979 as he was my sisters doctor and she saw him regularly. I usually went to her appointments and we both truly looked forward to those times. Then my grandmother was in need and he came to my and my husbands home regularly to see her. Again, my husband and I and my grandmom anticipated those visits as well. He was such a fine person. One of the pleasantries we shared was our mutual love of all things Irish. He even bought some of our Irish wooden crafts. We lost touch over the years. But we will never forget Doug and his gentle joyful kindness towards us. Intermittently over the years we searched for him and were sadly never successful. How I wish we´d have had one more visit with him. I was searching last night on line and sadly found he had passed. I just want his family to know how much of a difference he made. It sounds like a majority of folks knew how amazing he was so I´m happy for that. We want you to know we loved him too. Tom and Teresa Ewing. Nellie Green and Claire Kokoszka.

My prayers are with the Farrell family. I knew Dr. Farrell from Fishtown and also Delco. He was a very friendly, compasionate and friendly man. My condolences and prayers to all. He will be missed.

As sad as I am I can't look at Dough's picture and not smile. one of my fondest memories from our friendship was him calling me for help in scoring Allstar Tickets for the last year of the old Yankee Stadium 2008. Which I was happy to do but after the game he calls me for us to get together because he wanted to share some pictures he took at the game. Well Doug shows up at dinner only like he could do with a huge binder with like 100 pictures in it. He was truly 1 out of a million and he will be sorely missed. RIP my Friend nothing but love from the Rizz
