I just moments ago googled Dougs name and learned of his passing. I chose him to be my big brother when I pledged Phi Gamma Delta because he was the coolest guy in the house. We lost contact after I was drafted into the Army, but I always revered Dougie. Oddly, my daughter graduated from Furman University 98 in Greenville, and because I didnt know Doug had relocated there, we missed a chance to reconnect during my visits. He was a solid guy, good Fiji basketball player, and I remember his easy smile well. Condolences to the family and Jane.
