Doug M. Osborn, 58, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. The family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at the mortuary.

Interment Hope Cemetery, Ottawa.

Doug was born October 1, 1962, in Olathe, Kansas, the son of George W. and E. Joanne (Greer) Osborn Jr.

He lived in Ottawa since 2012 moving here from Kincaid, Kansas where he lived for 20 years. He also lived in Miami County for many years.

Doug graduated from Louisburg High School with the class of 1980 and attended Allen County Community College earning his Associate of Arts degree in agriculture in 1982.

He was united in marriage to Alice Hall December 19, 2017, at Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of the home.

Doug was a lifelong farmer and stockman. He also was a professional pilot and conducted flight inspections of pipelines for 15 years in the early 2000's.

He was a Fire and EMT volunteer in rural Kincaid, Kansas and attended Kincaid Assembly of God Church. Doug enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a love for animals and history.

Survivors include his wife Alice; parents, George and Joanne Osborn of Ft. Scott, Kansas; children, Carmen Bolivar of Ottawa, Andreina Campbell (Hugh) of Lawrence, Kley Bolivar of Peoria, Arizona and Javier Bolivar of Ottawa; sister, Ruth Benson (Randy) of Carl Junction, Missouri; brother, Pete Osborn of Beaver, Ohio; grandchildren, Aiden Bolivar, Rozzi Middleton, Rowan Middleton and Audi Campbell; nephews, Randall Benson (Stephanie) of Kansas City, Missouri and Jonathan Benson (Kari) of Montgomery, Alabama.
