Doug Stroud Obituary
Albertson - Doug "Duke" Stroud, 76, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Doug was preceded in death by his father Thurman Stroud and mother Lyda Smith Stroud.
Doug was a life-long member of Albertson Missionary Baptist Church and worked at R-Mart for many years. He was an avid sports fan and loved to fish. Doug was well known throughout the community and surrounding areas and never met a stranger.
Doug is survived by his brother Marshall Stroud of Albertson; his sister, Charlotte Ann Holt (Hubert) of Selma; nephews Chris Stroud and Jason Dixon; and niece Holly Suttles.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Albertson Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. at the church followed by interment at Isaac Stroud Family Cemetery.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory be made to Albertson Missionary Baptist Church (P.O. Box 37, Albertson, NC 28508).
