Douglas M. Carroll, 61, passed away peacefully January 23, 2025 with family by his side. Born in Akron, Ohio to Donald and Sandra (Hartley) Carroll, he grew up in Cuyahoga Falls and later moved to Tallmadge. Doug was a proud member of the U. S. Marine Corps. He worked as an automotive technician for over 45 years. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, going to NASCAR races with his wife, watching and playing golf (River Rats) and spending time with his family.
Doug will be sadly missed by his wife of 39 years, Crystal; daughter, Tabitha Carroll (Steve Rogers); grandsons, Conner, Maynard; brothers, Donny Carroll, Mark Carroll; niece, Casey; numerous cousins and other family members.
Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, February 7, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron, Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. There will be a celebration of Doug's life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Doug's name to the cancer charity of their choice.
