Douglas Gross Obituary
Doug was born on July 28, 1966, in Paulding, Ohio, to Lowell Gross and Cynthia Baker. For the past 31 years, he has worked at GM Powertrain in Defiance in the maintenance department. Doug was a member of the Paulding Eagles Aerie 2405 and the Defiance Eagles Aerie 372. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and was a member of H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group). He loved the Chicago Bears and working on cars, especially restoring his 1967 Camaro.
Doug will be lovingly missed by his daughter, Abigail (Aaron) Vermule, Fort Jennings, Ohio; stepson, Zane (Casey) Sprow, Paulding, Ohio; father, Lowell (Teresa) Gross, Defiance, Ohio; brother, Todd Gross, Fort Wayne, IN; sister, Kimberly Gross, Paulding, Ohio; niece, Allison Gross, Fort Wayne, IN; 3 great nieces and nephews; his four grandchildren: Lane Sprow, Liberty Sprow, Austin Vermule, and Ayla Vermule.
Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Baker.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Den Herder Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be held from 5 p.m. until time of services on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made in Doug's memory to his grandchildren in care of his daughter, Abigail Vermule.

Im truly sorry to hear od Doug's passing. Everytime I seen him he was always smiling. Last time I seen him he and my brother had a beautiful garden they had planted. Doug loaded me down with vegetables to take home to Alabama
He was so sweet and kind. My condolences and prayers go out
to his family.
