Dougie was a childhood friend who lived across the street. Sorry to hear of his passing. Rest in Peace.

We have been fortunate to have Doug and Terry living in Bradenton where we also live in winter. Thanksgiving has been a special time when we would get together. Doug's friendly and kindly manner always made for a lovely time. We enjoyed his company and conversation. Doug didn't talk much about himself so we never knew about his impressive accomplishments.. We will miss Doug. We will miss knowing that he lived nearby. God bless him in Heaven.

I've known Doug for a couple of years. We met while walking our precious pups, Bella & Gracie. As always, it only takes a moment to recognize some who loves Jesus Christ. Doug beamed with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

We often exchanged prayer requests and just talked about the love of Jesus.

Like most of us, Doug hoped for physical healing this side of eternity. God always heals, but sometimes it doesn't come until the other side. Doug did not fear death. I think his greatest concern was the thought of leaving his family behind.

Terry, may the Lord bring comfort and peace to you and your family

I saw Doug last month in Bradenton when I was visiting my Sister. He was the same soft spoken, humble guy I remember, when I first met him. Doug mentioned he was going through cancer treatments and was very calm because he said he was in God's hands. His faith was an inspiration to me. I'm saddened he was taken so quickly. One thing I most remember about Doug was his kindness with such a gentle spirit. My condolences to his family and friends. God bless and Rest in the peace of the Lord Doug.
