Douglas Randolph Jordan Sr., 68, of Greenville, S.C., passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Jan. 25, 2026. Born March 7, 1957, in Greenville, he was the son of the late Joe and Margaret Jordan. He was the husband of Sally Brennecke Jordan.

Doug was a 1975 graduate of Greenville High School, and he attended Anderson (S.C.) College, where he played on the baseball team.

As a talented commercial photographer, Doug owned and operated Joe F. Jordan Photography, a business founded by his father. Working together for many years, the two of them were known for their documentation of Greenville’s history. When Doug closed the business upon his retirement in 2019, he donated their iconic collection of photographs to the Greenville County Historical Society.

He made friends easily and developed many lifelong friendships through his love of sports. Doug became an avid golfer after taking up the sport as an adult, and he played at least two days a week until shortly before his death. He also enjoyed meeting his friends for happy hour and for lunch on Fridays.

Doug was a follower of Christ and a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Guided by a servant’s heart, he was always eager to lend a helping hand, putting the needs of others ahead of his own. As a three-time cancer survivor, he relied on his faith to sustain him through each health challenge he faced.

Family meant everything to Doug, and he loved them deeply. Along with his wife of 39 years, Doug is survived by his son, Douglas Randolph (Jay) Jordan Jr. (Ashley) of Greenville; his daughter, Virginia (Ginny) Jordan Coates (William) of Greenville; two grandchildren, Isabel Jordan and Will Coates, both of Greenville; his brother, Joe Jordan (Shirley) of Greenville; his father-in-law, Richard C. (Dick) Brennecke of Greenville; two sisters-in-law, Julie Holliday (Brosie) of Pawleys Island, S.C., and Fran Senn (David) of Newberry, S.C.; and beloved nieces and nephews and their children. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Libby Jordan, and his mother-in-law, Jane Fleming Brennecke.

In loving memory of Douglas, whose spirit touched the lives of many, we invite family and friends to celebrate his memory through a heartfelt Tribute Tune entitled "Through the Lens of Grace."
