Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Douglas Clark Kenney (Gay) Sr., age 74, resident of Melbourne, Fl, peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones, on Sunday February 12, 2023.
Doug was born June 25, 1948, in Danbury, CT to the late Francis Gay and Anna (Kenney Gay) Coffey.
In 1965 Doug joined the United States Navy and was stationed on the USS Independence. After the Navy, Doug started his family, put himself through college, worked as a Radiologic Technologist, and taught as an adjunct professor in North Plainfield, NJ.
Later in life Doug reconnected with his teenage sweetheart, Linda. They got married, retired, and moved to Florida to enjoy their life together. Doug and Linda enjoyed cruising the high seas.
Doug was predeceased by his parents; Francis Gay and Anna Coffey, brothers; Francis Gay, Jr. and Gary Gay, Sr, and sister; Sharron Simao.
Doug leaves behind his loving wife Linda Kenney, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, sisters (Darlene Lombardo, Debbie Hyde, Audrey Coffey, and Melissa Coffey), cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
Interment at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery will be at a later date.
