Douglas Andrew McCormack, age 35, of Wakefield passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends on Tuesday, September 23.
Doug was born in Melrose on May 17, 1990 and was the son of Douglas Fleming of Wakefield and Colleen (McCormack) Morrison and her husband Eric of Hudson, NH. He was the loving father of Jack McCormack, the brother of Erin and Kate Morrison, the grandson of Elaine Meuse of Hudson, NH and survived by Jack’s mother, Melissa Carr of Wakefield.
Doug is predeceased by grandparents David and Georgina Fleming of Wakefield plus William McCormack of College Point, NY.
Doug was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 2008. He had a passion for commercial and residential painting with his own business and began his career with the family business, Skyline Decorators.
Doug was loved by all, helped everyone unconditionally, had a unique sense of humor and enjoyed summers at the family camp in New Hampshire.
Visitation will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday, September 29 from 4-7pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
His Funeral Service will be private for the family.
