Douglas Alan McCoy

Douglas Alan McCoy passed away on September 27, 2025. Doug was born in Wilkinsburg, PA, on August 30, 1961. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki McCoy and step-father, Ron Dukek. He is survived by his wife, Krisha Whitcomb; children, Jake McCoy (Heidi) and Samantha Cox (Isaac); grandchildren, Grace McCoy, Audrey McCoy, and Summer Cox; mother, Dolores Dukek; and brother, Larry McCoy (Karen). Doug coached football at PBL High School and had a positive impact on many young men's lives beyond football. He was a rabid Steeler's and Pirates fan. Doug was an avid golfer and the superintendent for Lakeview Country Club. Doug set the Lakeview course record, shooting 64, twice. He won the club championship 11 times. He and Dale Hendershot teamed to win the University of Illinois Better Ball Championship. Doug birdied the Road Hole at the Old Course in St. Andrews Scotland, twice. However, Doug was most admired by his friends and family for the decade of care he provided to his wife Vicki. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America. A celebration of life will be held at Lakeview Country Club, in Loda, from 1-4pm, on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
