I used to work with Doug up in Ault. I was a police officer while Doug was the maintenance worker. I would always shake my head when it was winter. The temperature could be 10 degrees, and Doug would be driving around in the company truck with the window down. I would ask him why he did that. Doug would always say that he stayed healthy because he would always be cold. If he had the window up, the cab would be hot and then he would get out in the cold and then to get back into the hot truck. His belief that he would not get sick. Doug was very helpful when it was the Highland Fall Festival. He would not work on Saturday for the main festivities, he would always have the truck filled with the cones and the truck gassed up for the officers to get the cones place on Hwy 85 for the parade. Doug had a very loud laughter that would be contagious. My condolences to the entire Meisner family. Remember the good times you had with Doug. He is at peace now.
