Douglas Edward Saunders

Douglas Edward Saunders, 62 of Columbus, Went to be with the lord, surrounded by his loved ones on Friday September 13th 2024. Douglas was born on January 5th 1962 in Columbus Ohio to Wayne and Emma Lee Saunders. 

Douglas was a retired plumber and was a member of the McArthur and Linden Eagles. Doug worked hard and played harder and was everyone’s favorite uncle. He was a dedicated provider to his family, and faithfully cared for his mother in her time of illness. Douglas was a husband, father, grandfather, a brother and will be missed by so many. He enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, hanging out with his brother Brian, his family and friends, and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Douglas is survived by his wife Rowlena Saunders, children Douglas Saunders Jr, Christina Saunders, brother Brian(Trish) Saunders, grandchildren Hailey Cameron, Paris Gardner, Heaven Saunders, Deavon Farley, Olivia Fralick, Abbigale Darnelle, Rebecca J Kidwell, Several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Douglas is preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca Saunders Farley, father Wayne O. Saunders, mother Emma Lee Hughes, brother Wayne C. Saunders, sister Becky(Saunders)Fee, and Nephew Kenneth Saunders.
