Douglas Edward Shaw age 63, of Glen Rock, PA passed away with his loving wife by his side at BridgingLife, Westminster, MD. Born September 26, 1962, in Glendale, WV, he was the son of Earl Shaw, Jr., and Cecelia “Penny” Maguire. He was the loving husband of Joyce Cone, having been High School sweethearts, they drifted apart and reconnected later to marry, September 21, 2018.
Doug proudly served for 5 years in the United States Air Force, from November 1980 until May 1985. He was a traveling man having lived in Alaska and later in Florida Keys to settling in Pennsylvania with his wife Joyce. He was musically inclined, playing guitar and hand drums. He was a free spirit who loved sailing. He was very close with all his family, especially his aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his wife Joyce Cone, he is survived by his father, Earl Shaw, Jr., of Moundsville, WV and mother, Penny Maguire of Moncks Corner, SC; son, Dylan Shaw of Summerville, SC, brother, Michael Shaw of Moncks Corner, SC, grandchildren, Amelia and Oliver, niece, Elizabeth, nephew Reid and stepson, Ian Cone of Hanover, MD.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
