Doyle Edward Plemmons

DOYLE E. PLEMMONS "Loving Husband and Father" Waynesville, Doyle Edward Plemmons, age 82, of Blink Bonny Drive, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Autumn Care of Waynesville. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late William and Martha Mull Plemmons. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Plemmons, who died in 2015 and numerous brothers and sisters. Doyle retired from Lowe's as a store manager with 25 years of service. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Doyle was an avid dancer and enjoyed Saturday nights at the Stomping Grounds with his wife, Susie. He was also very proud of performing for the Queen of England with the Army Drill Team while stationed at Mildenhall during the Korean War. Doyle is survived by two sons, Dayle Plemmons, and his wife, Dao, of Chamblee, Georgia and Hanley Plemmons, and his wife, Tiffany, of Waynesville; one sister, Altha Smith, of Balsam; and one grandson, Hoyt Plemmons. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Rocky Branch Cemetery with Reverend Ronald Greene officiating.
