Doyle Sanders Rowe

DOYLE SANDERS "SANDY" ROWE, 81 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his home. Born in Hurley, VA he was the son of the late McKinley and Dolly (McCoy) Rowe. Sandy was a loving husband, stepfather, step-grandfather, step-great grandfather, and was a member and Deacon for years at Little Prater Church of Christ and could sing all the songs. He was a heavy equipment operator. He loved moving mountains on his D11 dozer. He loved his garden in the summer and giving vegetables to friends. He loved fishing any time and, in the fall, loved hunting with Gary and Don. Sandy and his friend Bobby sitting in their chairs still did a lot of coal mining, that was their lives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Rowe; brother: McKinley Rowe Jr.; sisters: Ruth Dotson, Audrey Thompson, Elanor Dotson; stepson: Christopher Lee Hensley; nephews: Michael Thompson, Richard Dotson; niece: Rhonda Dotson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 19 years June D. Rowe; stepchildren: Kimberly (Wes) Mullins, William (Tabithia) Hensley; step-grandchildren: Syndey Ford, Brittany (Brit) Barrlow, Maeghyn Mullins, Nathan Mullins, Brandon (Alley) Little; great grandchildren: Waylon Barrlow, Darrin Ford, Wade Ford; nephews: Jackie Dotson, Mark Dotson, Bruce Rowe; nieces; Shirley Tester, Marry Rose, Jerry Bringing.
Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services were at the Little Prater Church of Christ Sunday from 6:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services for DOYLE SANDERS "SANDY" ROWE were conducted Monday, January 5, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. at the Little Prater Church of Christ with Pastor Ken Runyon officiating. With entombment followed in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.
Active Pallbearers were family and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers were Gary Jude, Don Matney, Bobby Lane, and Ronnie Stacy
Sandy was a gentle and kind man who prayed for everyone, friends and strangers. He had a long prayer list, but most of all he loved the Lord with his whole heart. I will miss him my love.
