Dr. Dan William Rajek

Dr. Dan William Rajek, age 72, of Merrill, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 29, 2025, in Wisconsin Rapids. He was born on February 7, 1953, to the late Dr. Edgar and Margaret (Moran) Rajek in Merrill. Dan attended and graduated from Merrill High School with the class of 1971. Dan attended UW-Eau Claire and went on to graduate from Marquette Dental School. He met Becky Larson, and the two were united in marriage on July 15, 1978, in Rice Lake, WI. She survives.

Dan had owned and operated Family Dentistry in Merrill from 1978 until his retirement in 2016, where he enjoyed his time being a dentist. He loved his work and community. Dan was an accomplished golfer and was a member of multiple golf clubs. He had won many golfing tournaments and looked forward to watching the masters golf tournament. Dan was an avid sports fan, especially the Packers and Badgers. He adored his grandkids and spent time with them every chance he had. Dan is remembered as a generous, thoughtful, outgoing man that had a witty sense of humor! He was a member of Silver M, Wisconsin Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dan will be sadly missed, but the memories his family and friends have will live on.

Dan leaves behind his wife: Becky Rajek, son: Andy (Jessica) Rajek, with their children: Michael, Matthew, Kaylee and Reilley, brothers: Ed (Kathy), Mike (Brenda), Steve (Cindy) and Tom (Carrie), along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Matthew and daughter: Kimberly.

A private family gathering will be held at Taylor-Stine-Waid Funeral Home in Merrill.
