Laurel (Lolly) Freund
September 1, 2025
Emmett was my brother-in-law, married to my darling sister, Marjie, before her passing away in 2020, and the inspiration those two made as a beautiful team was something every person who knew them were blessed to share and fortunate to behold! Emmett was a dear, thoughtful, gentle person to all he met and he carried it so well in his humble, sensitive, ambitious nature. His loyalty to his family was constant and always supportive and when he joined our family in June of 1965 he imparted that devotion over to all of us as well. We are so very sorry that Emmett has now left our realm, but we know that, since that fateful August day in 2020 when he lost the love of his life, he had not been the same and he was anxious to get on with his life ever-after in Heaven with Marj. Rest easy, Em. Laurel (Lolly) and Ken.

I met Emmett in the registration line as freshmen at Huntington College. My husband Kent & I were close friends of Emmett & Marge and thought highly of them, as we did his older brother John.
