Dr. Frederick Lee Barlow, a dedicated dentist and cherished family man, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Goodyear, Arizona, at the age of 76, following heart failure. Born on November 15, 1948, in Berkeley, California, Dr. Barlow dedicated his life to serving others both through his professional career and his extensive involvement in his community and church.
Dr. Barlow earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 1974 and went on to complete a Master of Science (M.S.) in 1976. Over the course of more than 30 years, he practiced dentistry, providing exceptional care to countless patients. His skills and compassionate approach made him a beloved figure in his field and within the community.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Barlow was deeply committed to his faith and service. He served faithfully in many church callings throughout his lifetime, including a significant tenure as Bishop of the Torrance First Ward, where he positively impacted the lives of many individuals and families.
Dr. Barlow married Christine Fitzgerald in 1977, a union that exemplified love, support, and partnership. Together, they raised four children, Jared, Jeffrey, Julie, and Janet, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and commitment. He also savored the joys of being a grandfather to 11 grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.
Dr. Barlow's life will be celebrated in a service on December 20, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 13277 W Thomas Rd, Goodyear, AZ, commencing at 11:00 AM. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to honor a man who was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
Dr. Frederick Lee Barlow leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and unwavering love for his family and community. His impact resonates in the hearts of those who knew him, ensuring that he will not be forgotten.
