We are so saddened by your loss. He was a wonderful man and we enjoyed having him living across from us for the few years he worked in the Liverpool District. It was thankful that God gave him a few more years to enjoy family and close friends before his passing.

My God give your family peace and grace in this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

Nick would weigh us in in the mornings for wrestling we would come in real early and he would be in the room lifting. Always had a smile and would do anything for you. I always was honored that I had him as a leader and friend.. God Bless and God Speed....

Suzy and family,
Brian and I were so sad to hear of Dr. J's passing. I considered it an honor to know and work for him while he was in Liverpool. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family. May your memories provide you with comfort in the days ahead.

Sue, we are in Texas for the winter and are so sorry to hear of Nick's passing. I lost track of both of you and so many times have thought of both of you. Nick was a great man and endured so much. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

It was with deep sadness that I learned of Nick's passing. Although it has been a number of years since our paths have crossed, the memory of our connection has brought pleasant recollections to mind. We became friends during our senior year in high school in West Union, and then were roommates for our first year at the University of Iowa. During those now long past years, I was welcomed into the Johns home and shared more than a few adventures with Nick. He was very bright and it warms my heart to know that he shared his talents with others through his commitment to education. The true measure of a man is not what he does for himself, but what he does for others. I am honored to have been a small part of his life.
