Dr. Robert “Bob” E. Linden, age 90, of Princeton, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Markesan Resident Home, Markesan, WI.
Bob was born on February 25, 1935 in Chicago, IL, son of Jerome and Ellen (Johnson) Linden. He graduated from North Park Academy High School in Chicago, and went on to further his education at Northwestern University, where he earned his MD degree. On April 20, 1963 he married Deloris Busker. During his psychiatry residency in Topeka, Kansas, Bob was called to serve his country and spent two years as a physician in the United States Navy. He went on to practice in Madison, WI, from 1969 until his retirement in 2000. In his free time, Bob enjoyed traveling in Mexico and going on cruises, spending winters in Florida, working on outdoor projects at his home in Wisconsin, and seeing his grandsons.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Deloris Linden; two daughters, Judy (Jesus) Garcia of Third Lake, IL, and Nancy Linden of Stoughton, WI; two grandchildren, Samuel and Jacob Garcia; three nieces; and a sister-in-law, Marylyn Alkire. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Ellen Linden; a sister, Carol Svenson; and a brother-in-law, Larry Alkire.
Visitation for Bob will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from 9:30 until 11:00 am at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 102 W. Harvard St., Princeton, WI 54968.
Funeral service for Bob will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Princeton, with Pastor B. Joseph Christopher officiating. Interment will follow at Weiser Cemetery, Princeton, WI. Memorials in his name may be directed to Community Works Services of Madison, WI.
