Mike and Sonja, I know you have many wonderful memories of your mom that you can keep and share for a lifetime. I will always remember her for her energy. I found your mom amazing in the fact that every time I visited, she was in engaged in something whether it be working in the kitchen, the yard/garden or taking care of the house, all in addition to a full-time job. She always made sure we had plenty of good and healthy things to eat and would supply us with ample food for our excursions. Of course, at Slava time in her warm and inviting house, she always upped her game by preparing so many good things to eat and ever vigilant so that no bowl or dish would be emptied. I'll never forget the comfortable, relaxed feeling I got enjoying Slava at her house.

I always thought your mom had one of the kindest easiest smiles I have ever been around, and she shared it generously. She was always patient and understanding with us but did not hesitate to let us know when she disapproved of our behavior, a quality I am sure my parents appreciated. To be respectful and respectable is how she raised you and no doubt had influence on the grandchildren. That is her legacy, she raised a good family. I pray you all find comfort and peace in what she left you with and knowing that Draga is at rest now, but there is much more that awaits her.
