My heartfelt sympathy to all those who loved Drew. We were proud members of the Class of `76 at ZCHS. I live in Colorado but every time I was home I drove down Main Street to wave and if I had time, would stop and catch up. He was a treasure. My Mom was good friends with his Mom as well. I agree that Main Street has lost a bit of it´s sparkle and I know I will continue to look for his smile and his wave from now on when ever I drive down the bricks. Such a lovely person, that great smile, kindness, sense of humor and the way he always made you feel will be his legacy. Rest In Peace, my friend. Love you.

Drew was larger than life; funny and kind with a biting wit and loved by many.
He will be missed . I´m sure Tugg was right next to him as he stepped over the line between here and there.

Phil and Drew, Carla just called me and gave me the sad news about Drew´s passing. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have known Drew from day one, 63 years, and whenever I was in Zionsville I would stop by the shop and chat with him for a time and catch up on what was going on with all you guys. Unfortunately I won´t be able to attend the services.
Now living in Fort Myers.
I will always remember babysitting for you guys on Cold Springs Road and Him taking over the shop from your mom, rest her soul. He is in a much better place now. God bless him.

I had the privilege of knowing Drew through our Fraternity- Lambda Chi Alpha at Indiana State University. He could always be counted to help out in any capacity, lending good judgment and taste when and wherever needed. I speak for many in saying he will be missed but the memories live on.

In the early 2000s Drew would stop by my booth at the Zionsville Farmers Market. That is how I met him. Often he walked with his Border Terrier, Tug.
My Border Terrier, Duncan was never as polite and easy going around other people as Tug was. It seems possible that Tug´s demeanor was a reflection of his owner´s personality-
While Drew and I didn´t become close friends, I always enjoyed our conversations-which consisted mainly of finding out how many mutual friends we had and sharing anecdotes about our quirky little doggies.

He was a good person to know. He will be missed by many.

My sympathies to Drew's extended families. I agree with Cheri that Zionsville's Main Street will not be the same without seeing Drew. He will be missed by quite a few of us long time Zionsville residents. God bless you Drew.

Drew was an amazing friend to me and uncle to my daughters. We shared laughter and much love my girls have many spectacular Christmas keepsakes from Drew over the years I asked my youngest daughter her fondness memory of our dear friend and she reminded me of how he would point to his cheek( for her to give him a kiss) so she would, and he would say, “ hot dog good kiss”!!! They would both get such a kick from that!
Love you Dew-Dew ❤

I met with Drew in a group from church every Monday. He always had an upbeat spirit and brought
smiles to all of us. As he wished, he will be known as a Christian by the way he lived.

It will seem a little lonely driving down Main St. knowing Drew is missing, but only a short journey to a grand reunion. Drew's presence in our lives, like his lighting store shines brightly.
