Dru Dickey Obituary
Dru drove a truck for most of his working life, including for Marcus Durflinger Trucking for many years. Dru's life revolved around trucks, whether he was working on trucks, attending shows or doing long hauls.
Dru is survived by his daughter: Alexis Dickey of What Cheer; siblings, Candice (Leslie) Greiner of Keota, Joni (Robert) Sandburg of Washington and Scott (Lori) Dickey of Hedrick; his nieces and nephews, Ashley Greiner, Trenton (Madison) Greiner, Jillian (Kenyon) Heisdorffer, Lane (Katie) Sandburg, Seth (Kellie Jo) Dickey and Holly (Devin) Dickey; several great nieces and nephews and a special friend, Bethany Brain.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 18, 2025, at 5pm in the Carl Craft Civic Center, Hedrick, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family at this time for future designation to a memorial in his name.

Dru,
One of the greatest humans to ever walk this earth - my best friend, my go-to, the one who was always there no matter what. Dru, you weren´t just a friend... you were family. You had a heart bigger than anyone I´ve ever known, and there wasn´t a single moment you didn´t give your all for the people you cared about.
Life feels so different without you here. I´ll miss your laugh, your smart remarks, the late-night talks, and all the miles we shared. You made the hard days easier and the good days even better. There will never be another you.
Rest easy, my friend. You´ll never be forgotten - I´ll carry you with me for the rest of my life.
