Du Wayne was born in Milwaukee, WI. At the age of seventeen, he joined the United States Navy, as an aircraft engine mechanic, on both the USS Oriskany and the USS Intrepid. He was honorably discharged in 1964.
Du Wayne had a busy and unique life. He worked for many years as a stage and road manager for rock and roll groups, including the Rolling Stones and Ricky Nelson. Later, he became an entrepreneur and owner of many different types of businesses.
He is best known for his "dry" sense of humor, always making others smile and laugh. If ever someone needed a "gadget" or was looking for a special item...within days,
Du Wayne would deliver it. He had a gift for finding just what someone else was looking for.
Everyone that knew Du Wayne, knew he loved In -n - Out Burgers...so much so, that he and Nancy would make the 72-mile round trip drive to Surprise every Friday night just to get an In-n -Out Burger!
Du Wayne became a member of the Knights of Columbus and was proud to represent them as a 4th Degree Knight. The first thing he did when moving to Wickenburg was locate the Knights of Columbus to transfer his membership.
Du Wayne continued to work until his last day. He made good friends and was respected by all who worked with him.
He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
